In addition to the infrastructure for preparing Certified Reference Materials (CRMs), ITAK also boasts a chemical laboratory for the analysis of rocks, ores, and concentrates. This facility is equipped with high-tech equipment, including X-Ray Fluorescence (XRF) with fusion bead analysis, enabling rapid analyses of a wide range of geochemical materials. The laboratory also features a Wet Chemistry section dedicated to specific analyses like Total Iron (Fe) and Ferrous Oxide (FeO), as well as a “hot room” equipped for Fusion and Loss on Ignition (LOI) determination.

The primary objective of the chemical laboratory is to fulfill an internal need for homogeneity and stability testing of the produced Reference Materials. However, it also offers external chemical analysis services to clients, operating in accordance with the requirements of the ISO/IEC 17025:2017 standard – General requirements for the competence of testing and calibration laboratories.

As a manufacturer/provider of essential products for laboratories, mainly Certified Reference Materials, and leveraging its expertise in quality assurance and control (QA/QC) processes, all processes at ITAK are executed with the most modern control tools, ensuring complete reliability of the results obtained.
