Founded in 2008, ITAK is currently active in the areas of geology, mining, metallurgy, environmental and quality control in chemical and laboratory analysis.

With the growing demand for improvement in chemical analysis processes, ITAK’s initial purpose of providing services has evolved into the manufacture of Certified Reference Materials (CRMs). ITAK has already produced and marketed more than 400 CRMs/SRMs from various mineral matrices with global acceptance.

Throughout these years, the company’s management has always striven for technological advancements to offer products and services with the highest level of quality. Worldwide technological developments support ITAK’s evolution in a significant way. Because our industry is continually innovating it requires products and services to be more refined, reliable, immediate and economically viable.

ITAK headquarters are based in the city of João Monlevade, Minas Gerais, Brazil. ITAK makes its structure available to clients which provides insight to its competence.

ITAKs aim of increased productivity, whilst maintaining its high quality has built a factory suitable for this purpose. With industry leading equipment that enables the manufacture of CRMs on demand and on time which meets the customer’s needs.

The implementation of its own chemical laboratory in 2015 and the automation of the CRM packaging stage in 2019, contributed significantly to the reduction of CRMs manufacturing lead times, highlighting ITAK as a leader in the industry.

Sustainability and Corporate Responsibility

ITAK is a signatory to the Global Compact and supports its Ten Principles related to Human Rights, Labor Rights, Environmental Protection and Anti-Corruption in all its forms.

ITAK implements the Global Compact principles in each of the four thematic areas through management practices and corporative principles.

Integrated management system

With the creation and incorporation of the company BS Technology in 2010, ITAK is now a group formed by the two companies: ITAK and BS. This Group works with the best practices and tools in the industry, based on an Integrated Management System guided by the following standards of reference:

  • ABNT NBR ISO 9001 – Quality Management Systems – Requirements.
  • ISO / IEC 17043 – Conformity assessment – General requirements for proficiency testing;
  • ISO / IEC 17034 – General requirements for the competence of reference material producers.
